Hotmail won't update automatically

Hi, not sure if I'm posting in correct section but here goes:

I recently got a Sony xperia t and can't seem to get my hotmail to automatically update. I only get email if I manually refresh.

I have it set to check inbox every 5 mins, data roaming is set to national, I've selected to receive Email notifications in status bar (but never get them) and mobile data traffic is also enabled. Can't find any other relevant settings to change. Have tried removing then re-setting up also.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Do you have the same problem when you are on Wi-Fi? If you are only having problem while using data, maybe it's a problem in your data settings or provider, if it's both, then it's the app itself. Maybe you should submit feedback so they patch it.
