Hotspot does work but wont let people connect to the internet why?

What plan are you on? I'm on the $50 unlimited, which doesn't offer hotspot. If I try to open a hotspot on my phone, it will appear to be working and another device can connect, but won't actually have internet access.

Yeh, you'll definitely need to check with Metro, if tethering is included or not. You may have to pay an extra subscription for it.

I have a device with MetroPCS and Hotspot plan is $60.00 dollars a month, the $50.00 dollar plan is only unlimited data with talk and text with no Hotspot.

Download PDANet and install next find FoxFi key to give you full version of PdaNet connect your phone to your computer it will tell you to download PdaNet execution file to your computer make sure you hide your tether on the PdaNet app

I hide my tether but it still calculating the data as it being used is there any way to hide this order reset this I'm using the new LG 20 and the latest MetroPCS and it doesn't allow you to restrict data manually

I wrote MicroHotspot as the solution for your problem.
You don't need to get HotSpot in your plan to use it. This will work and just use data the same as before.
