M first came with ICS install and there are many posts about it dropping 4G to 3G and have signal strength issues. I'm just checking to see if it was fix with JB. I have a upgrade coming up and thinking about getting the M or the HD.
I have only had the phone a week, but I have not seen the 3G icon on my phone once (besides the time that I forced 3G by changing the cell band the phone runs on).
I've used it pretty extensively, 4.6GB of usage this week. (got it a week ago today).
I switched mine form ICS to JB immediately when I got it so I have no knowledge of ICS. In low 4G strength areas it will switch to 3G but I just think that is normal.
