Hi

Now I'm using Xperia X10 also my company is an at&t
I'm still using 1.6 version
this is really terrible I want update version!!
But cant ....

I'm thinking about debranding
but some people said "3G doesn't work or something problem"
I afraid to do that

Is it good solution? or wait the update? (I hate)

in addition, if i go to SE center, can they do update?

Thanks

I thought AT&T went to 2.1 but didn't do multitouch yet. Maybe I am wrong.

If you have only tried using PC Companion to update, then I highly suggest not using that to upgrade and instead download SEUS from Sony and get it to update.

I have seen several times people use PC Companion and it shows no update, then people install SEUS and it shows there is an update available.

If you debrand like you are suggesting or install a generic version of 2.1, all you are missing is your MMS settings (so data over 3g won't work) until you re-enter the settings or until you chose the option to download settings.

When I installed a generic 2.1 version I had to go to Settings and chose Sony Ericsson and chose to download my settings and it found the right settings. I have also manually entered the settings on a friends phone. Worst case scenario, you have to enter the following:

Name: Media Net
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: <not set>
Password: <not set>
Server: localhost
MMSC: mmsc.cingular.com

MCC: 310
MNC: 410
