how can I retrieve device firmware version?

    can anyone tell me how I can retrieve handset device firmware using by adb command or any other sdk tool?

    didn't know what that meant. But because OP seem new, i thought maybe sometimes people miss a simpler way to find solution.:eek:

    I need to find a way to get "about phone" info by android sdk, such as adb command. hope it is clear to you now

    It was clear for me in the beginning. I just have no clue how to get that, if its even possible through adb.

    If you go into the shell via "adb shell" you can use:

    uname -a

    to get the OS/kernel version. Not sure if that's what you mean by "firmware."
