I'd like to un-root and set my phone back to stock because I'm planning on getting the EVO. Will I have to wipe, flash a 1.5 rom then run the RUU then upgrade to stock 2.1?

just run the 2.1 RUU update and it'll be brand spanking new and unrooted....as well as unrootable until they get that part figured out.

So all I have to do to unroot my phone is download the 2.1 update from Sprint? I don't need to wipe my phone or use a program?

I remember when I was rooted with a 1.5 rom I had to run a program that restored it to factory.

That program you are referring to is a RUU.

This program is the exact same thing, except it will load Sprint/HTC's newly released 2.1 ROM on the phone. However, no root exploits have been found if you do wish to root sometime in the future.

if you are planning on selling it, probably should just run the 1.5 ruu just incase the future owner decides to root it.
