I am using my Ipod headphones and so far i have been very disappointed by the sound coming out of the LG esteem. The speaker is very good but whenever i want to listen to a podcast or a song on the headphones it is very low. It pales in comparison to my Ipod.

Does anyone know a way to raise the volume?

From personal experience iPod headphones have always been of a lower volume than other headphones. Try checking the media volume and also make sure your headphones are all the way in the jack. I really wish i could help more but it make just be old headphones.

If all the settings are correct then I would also lean towards bad headphones. I have no issues with the pair of Sony's I use for my Esteem.

My headphones are too loud, I always have to turn them down. Apple has always made inferior products.

With PowerAmp I have to lower the volume because it's too lauder with my Sony headphones.

+1 Power Amp does juice up the volume and I tend to turn it down some myself. It really is the best player on the Market imo.

Just purchased a pair of sony buds. The esteem won't make your ears bleed but I wouldn't clasify them as low:rolleyes:

+2 best player ever. The pre out boost can blow up a set of cheap earbuds lol. With good headphones the sound quality is amazing.
