The only way is to use the credit card on the device.

Maybe get a pre-paid card and top it up for her every so often?

You could provide your credit card for her google account on the website, get the app(s) you want on her device, then go back to google and delete the credit card info.

The prepaid sounds like a better idea though.

Yes I agree with the prepaid as well. Although, there is a HUGE section for free apps that are pretty awesome.

Once you enter your credit card into the Market, you cant see the whole number, so she will only be able to buy apps, and not use it for anything else.

I think he wants to avoid his daughter having unlimited access to buying whatever she wants in the marketplace. As of right now I don;t think there is an option for this. It just recently hit the iOS appstore, so I am sure it will be soon to follow.

Well if he doesnt trust his daughter, then he has other problems he needs to work out.

Children make stupid decisions, that's why they need parental supervision.

There are tones of free apps on the market that she can use on the phone and make her phone fully functional without buyin an app.

Thanks for the reply's guys, i think i will go with the prepaid card , i have thought of another option though i could set her up a junior account with natwest which gives them a solo card i could then top up the account from my account.

Sounds like a great idea either way.
