This may sound trivial, but when I watch a video at night, the four button lights at the bottom of the phone (home, menu, back and search) are so bright it distracts from the screen. Am I missing a simple solution to fix this? I've tried various brightness apps but none of them control these lights.

It's the light sensor on the top left hand side, next to the VZ logo. Put your thumb over it and the lights will go out.

Haha, now why didn't I think of that? Thank you!!!

Well I tried that but the problem is when you block the sensor, it "thinks" its dark and the lights stay on...which makes sense. Still looking for a solution.
