How do I find system\appin the firmware folder?

    Hello guys.I downloaded an official firmware of my samsung galaxy s plus from Firmware archive | Samsung Updates .I want to see someof its stock apps and I have no clue how to do it.I've tried opening recovery.img with rar or iso but still nothing.It wouldn't let me open the .image file.So how am I suppose to open it?Thanks.

    I think the idea of an image is that it's flashed as a whole, so the answer to "how am I supposed to?" is probably "you're not".

    Custom ROMs, which come packaged as zips, let you do this, but you need root to use them.
