I currently have root access via the DMupdater. I am still running stock 2.1. I want to install BB, but would like to know how to get swype back once I install it. I am an authorized beta user and still have the invitation email I was sent. Can I just use the email again to download the installer?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the newbish question.

You can do that, if you want I can email you an .apk file of it so you don't have to go through all of that everytime. I don't have any way to upload it to share but more than willing to send it to you.

The other, more holistic approach to restoring after a ROM flash is to pick up Titanium Backup from the market. This app is the only reason I can stand to flash ROMs because it makes the process of getting my phone back to that o so nice setup i worked hard to get in a matter of minutes.

it backs up Apps, their data, their link to the market (so it knows you "downloaded" them) and all the important system data (like sms databases)
