Ok, so I took the leap the same night the froyo leak was out. I was on rooted 2.1 and followed the steps of intalling the ota and then re-rooted and installed the leaked froyo.

I tried most of the fixes, but would rather wait for the "real" Froyo OTA. My question is simple, do I have to remove the effects of the OTA (downgrade the hboot) before I re-flash to a stock 2.1 or will the 2.1 reflash take care of that?

    Sorry, but a bit of a n00b.

Can anyone please list the steps to take.

    Thanks!

If you want the phone completely stock, so even no leaked ota then yes you would have to downgrade the hboot and install the PB31IMG. That will take your phone back to how it was out of the box.

Thanks. That did the trick. All this talk abot bricking if you flash twice, etc got me a little worried.

I'd like to do this as well, I installed the radio update, evo unlocked, then 2.2, and would like to go back (even radio) as it seems to be unstable for me.

Will this process take me back to the previous radio as well?

Can someone link the exact process?

    Thanks,
    Doc

Follow the instructions for the second video. It is not nearly as hard as it seems. Also, I believe it is on page 2 of this thread, another member gives expanded instructions. Good luck!
