Root How do I go from 2.3.9 to OTA?

A while ago I rooted in 2.1 to remove the bloatware. Then I read you couldn't update if anything was missing, so I tried to put all apps back and ended up bricking my phone. What saved it was installing the update.zip that brought it to 2.3.9.

I'm done with rooting and would like to get back on track with the OTA update. How can I do this? Trying System Updates says my phone is up to date. I'm pretty sure I'm unrooted now; additionally I have not added or deleted anything root-related since. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Make sure you want the ota.
