I rooted my phone recently and installed the leaked 2.2 update. I ran Unrevoked as well as Unrevoked Forever, so I have S-OFF on my phone. I want to now put the official 2.2 release on my phone, while of course keeping my root. It would be best to keep my data on there, but if I have to run a Titanium backup and restore once it's installed, that's okay too.

I just need to know the process to do this and where to get the update.

I am running the leaked 2.2 Froyo update from May and I have the 2.05.00.06.11 radio.

I did this actually, well once you have s-off, all you need to do is put stock 2.1 on your sd card and it will do it for you, then choose your connection and the ota should already have started downloading...it was with mine

Why would you even want to do that?

Come again? There was no 2.2 leak from May. The first 2.2 leak was late July.

All I know is that I am running the Virtuous 2.6 ROM and would put it up against the totally stock 2.2 actually received over-the-air update from Verizon in stability any time. My girlfriend did the stock OTA instead of rooting and she has more issues (though they are small and not a big problem) with her Froyo than I do with mine.

Do I have to unroot first? And will I have to wipe my data?

How do you apply this? I have tried booting into hboot and it finds the .zip I reboot and nothing has changed. The file is only 3mb...this seems small...
