Help How do I improve contact photos?

I like to attach photos to my contacts, but they are all blurry. I've tried changing the resolution, but whatever size and resolution I choose, I can't seem to get it right. Any ideas?

Once they sync to google, the images get quite bad quality, are you using google contacts?

Personally I find if you turn OFF the contact sync (yes its a pain) you retain the quality of your locally added pictures.

I use "Syncmypix" to rip facebook pictures and with sync off, the pictures retain their quality.

Its a real shame gmail / google contact picture quality is so bad.
