I'm interested in buying the SGS and from what I've been reading I've gathered that some SGSs might come with a few limitations.
Such as:
1. Not being able to enter Download/Recovery mode
2. Not sim free
3. Can't be rooted (?)
4. Anything else that I'm missing?
And I was wondering how can I make sure that the one I'm buying doesn't have those limitations.
Is there anyway to check for those features during the purchase?
I've also read that the none-simfree can be fixed by unlocking the phone and the 3br can be patched, but won't those issues revert when I'll upgrade to a newer version?
Basically is there a way to tell that the phone's software was not tempered with in anyway (unlocked, 3br patched) and that it doesn't have all the aforementioned limitations?
