How do I password protect my Samsung Galaxy CENTURA?
My carrier is Straight Talk with Verison.
You can choose a passcode for the lock screen, but that's about as safe as a $2 padlock on a hasp nailed to the door. Anyone with a little knowledge can get into the phone and reset the screen to be unlocked.
You can keep all your important data on the SD card and encrypt it - but if you ever forget the encryption code, you lose the data.
Cellphones aren't designed to be secure devices. Don't depend on anything to keep the data on your cellphone safe.
