I was rooted and then not and then again and then not and now I'm back on my "not rooted" kick. I have actually found the phone quite snappy without root and have had no issues since unrooting.

    Anyway...

This morning I was doing some house cleaning and found that SU is still installed on my phone. I tried to uninstall and got the Uninstall Unsuccessful message. Can someone walk me through uninstalling this app? I have the Android SDK tools installed and have used them, although I am by no means an expert or even a casual user, so be gentle. I am assuming that I will be able to remove the app through some sequence of adb commands. I would appreciate any help you could give.

    Thanks ahead of time,

The ways I can think of require root.

    I think it requires root.

  5. I used the one click root/unroot method. When I unroot, it removes the SU

Did you use Rom Manager to unroot (install Stock Image)?

I just ran into this, and the FRG01B stock unrooted ROM from Rom Manager installs the Superuser app, even when you UNcheck the option for it. I believe you need to root to remove it.
