Do you know if this is updated to 4.1.2 and if it works correctly?

Also, where can I download the samsung drivers from? The link on that page is down.

That method will not work on JB. try this instead.
I recommend going back to stock ICS root then use ota rootkeeper, and update your phone.

    1. Go download this. Goo.im Downloads - Downloading stock.VRALG4.system.img.tar.md5.zip

    2. Go download Odin 3.07 here: Dev-Host - Odin 3.07.zip - The Ultimate Free File Hosting / File Sharing Service

    3. Install the Samsung USB Drivers.

    4. Enter Odin mode (Press and hold the Volume Down + Power Button)

    5. After you enter the Odin Mode Screen, be sure Odin detects the phone (the text box in the bottom left corner should say "Added!".

    6. Extract the .zip that you downloaded.

    7. Click the PDA button and select the MD5 image.

    8. Make sure that only the "Auto Reboot" and the "F. Reset Time" boxes are checked. DO NOT CHECK ANYTHING ELSE.

    9. Take a deep breath and press the start button. This will take up to 15 minutes so be patient.

    10. Repeat steps 4, 5, 7, and 8 with this image Goo.im Downloads - Downloading stock.boot.img.tar.md5

    11. Your phone should be now at stock condition.

Will that just change it back to ICS or will that root it? Or is the 1st step to go back to ICS and the 10th step is to root it? Sorry for being difficult.

Its all to go back to ICS. Once you do that you can use the root method teddyearp posted, and then use ota rootkeeper.

Have you done this many times with the Stellar? Also, I downloaded OTA Rootkeeper and was wondering if I update back to Jellybean will it just automatically keep the root? Thanks for everything.

I plugged my phone into my PC and it automatically came up saying installing usb driver for samsung mobile phone. Since it's doing this do I still need to install the Samsung driver link you gave me?

As long as odin detects it you're fine.

Ok, I have all the drivers installed but Odin doesn't rocognize it. What I'm thinking is that I need to select something on Odin mode, do I need to go to apply update from external storage or something like that on the phone?

install twrp recovery and do a nandroid backup. You're going to need to flash the old bootloader first using odin found here. old_bl.tar.md5 | by billard412 for Galaxy Stellar

Be sure to use the PDA button.

EDIT : nvm you need to be rooted first
