I just got my first text with a picture since getting this phone last week. In the message, it says "slideshow" and when I click on the "picture", it gives me three icons at the bottom. The far right icon allows me to "save" the picture, but I don't know where it's saving it to, if at all.

    Anyone?

On the original text message just press the screen on the message and hold for a second and it will bring up a list of options - one is save to sd card - ta da!! :)

Really? Long press doesn't work for me (either in the threaded sms or if the picture is open on the slideshow).

For me, in order to save the pic, I have to press the tab that looks like the phone, which brings me to another window that says "Save" at the top and a toggle button next to the pic. If I want to save, I check that box and then click done.

All my pics initially save to my "download" folder on my sd.

How do you guys get the long press to work saving pics on text messages? Nothing happens for me when I do that. I should mention that this is on the sock text messaging app.

Long press on the message with the picture ... not the message thread and not on the picture itself. The second option is "Save picture."

Okay...I've had the damn phone for 2 months now and I feel like a complete rehtard!

Thanks for explaining. Now I know for future reference. I always thought it was cool that my mms messages would show up in my threaded text messages, but got kinda annoyed at how much of a pain in the butt I "thought" it was to save pics...LOL.

Thanks for starting this thread. Had it not been for this, I probably would have stuck with my pattern.
