How do you add ringtones to LG connect?

I created a silent ringtone that I want to use for one of my contacts. I sent it to myself via Bluetooth and it got saved. When I try to copy/paste or move it to the ringtone directory it said it cannot do it because it is a read only directory. Do I have to hook up the USB cable to do this or can I email myself the ringtone? I used to be able to just email my self the ringtone and download it on my old Nokia phone and that was years ago.

use a root explorer (romtoolbox works) and try again...

i haven't tried any other way and i guarantee this works.

Thank you for your suggestion but I figured out how to do it without rooting the phone. The app called RINGDROID solved my problem.
