How do you feel about the Epic 4G's aesthetics?

I think the Epic will have the most packed features but how are you all feeling about the look of the Epic?

I think its surprisingly thin for a slider, but I feel like the corners could have had more of a square shape? Something different other than the typical rounded corners. It'll be hard to tell how I truly feel about the look/feel until i actually hold one but what is everyone's thoughts?

At this point - I'll opt for function over form. It'll be cool (or hot) for me based on the keyboard, FFC, etc. As long as it's not a brick (it's not), I'm OK with that. Especially since it MAY be able to fit into the holster that I use for my Curve now.

To get a real feel for it you really need to hold it in you hand

Thats what she said

Again I think you need to look at how much phone you are getting over what it looks like...not that it looks bad. I think it looks sexy

I agree. It's REALLY hard to judge a phone without seeing it in person and holding it.

I thought the Droid X hump would be odd but you honestly can't even feel it.

Honestly the phone is ugly to me, I've never really cared about the look of any of my prior phones ( I rocked a pink aka pearl Sanyo for years) but I may consider some type of case with the Epic. If I can't find a decent case with a kickstand then I may do something to improve the looks.

Hopefully I'm happier with it once I get the phone in my hands though

Yeah, I wish this thing had a kickstand as well. I've been using the case+swivel clip that I had for my Moment as a kickstand for watching videos since I got it (December).

It works pretty good actually. The swivel clip is a Sprint version. It looks very close to this:

When I want to watch a video, I just slip it on the back of my case wear it slides down onto the clip and set it down.

You know I really wish it looked slick like the normal Galaxy S phones, with the sleek shiney battery covers. Though I really don't mind the rubberized texture, it's just every Samsung phone I've had so far (R510 excluded) has had this same coating; Instinct, Moment... I would a bit of change. But hey as long as the device is awesome, I have no problem with the aesthetics

Look on the bright side no fingerprints to wipe off.

I think it looks cool from the front, the front looks better than the EVO but not the back. The back looks kinda ugly to me

Yea I think the front looks pretty slick too, I think the silver strip they have going all around the device is a nice touch. If they have given it like a carbon fiber back I think it would have been perfect.

The imitation carbon fiber backs on the Galaxy S phones are really just printed plastic, it scratches easily. I like it the way it is, if I could change something it would probably have to be the usb port and put it on the bottom but even that won't really bug me that much, love the new usb "door" too.
