    Hi,

I went to backup my current state via ROM Manager, and when it rebooted to the bootloader, I got a picture of the android with the hood open (lol) and a red exclamation point, and never made it to the bootloader. It just froze there. I fixed this by reflashing clockwork mod from ROM Manager.

Anyway, my question is, from that point where I was stuck, is there a way to hard reset the phone without pulling the battery? It is a pain in the butt to pull the cover off on this thing.

    Thanks,
    Joe

Agreed. What lunatic designed that battery cover? I feel like I'm going to destroy the snap pins every time I swap to the extended battery and back.

Sorry, forgot to answer question. Holding the power button down for 3 seconds didn't do anything? What about power button and volume down button?

As far as I can tell, there is no button combo to hard reset. Kind of a silly design decision - just because you can pull the battery doesn't mean there shouldn't be a smartly designed hard reset sequence.

That said... I guarantee that Samsung did some kind of repetitive stress testing on the rear battery cover so have a little faith in it.

    Thanks.

My finger nails are not long enough to get a good grip on it to pull it out. Luckily I have a small screwdriver in my laptop bad which works nicely.
