type the sentence. highlight the words or phrase you wish to hyperlink. then press the button on this first row of the thread editor that looks like the planet earth with a link of a chain in front. a box pops up. insert the web address in the box. hit ok.

but with that way you cant choose the text of the hyperlink, youre stuck with the title of the page you are linking to, correct?

for example, in my way you can tell someone to check out a link to this really cool church. you can type the words 'cool church' but actually make them link to a nasty porn site. In your way the link would say 'big hooters' or something like that. right?

There is nothing wrong with seeing the actual link. If the link is to another post in the forums here then it automatically converts it to text. I personally would rather see the link, and not have it masked by a word.

me too. but it doesnt matter. the person doing the clicking will have no way of knowing what youre actually linking to. just bc it looks like a link to a thread in this forum doesnt mean it is actually so. it would be very easy to make a link that says "one click root guide to BSGS2" but make it actually link to some totally unrelated site.

sometimes it's better to have a shorter link for simplicity's sake. but youre right, its totally up to the author.

    I was just sayin lol.
