I do not see a way, and it will download these updates automatically over my data plan.

This is a sprint version of the g5. Oh, btw, sprint sucks. Avoid them.

Open the Play Store, tap on the hamburger bar and scroll down to Settings, under General tap on Auto-update apps then either choose Do not auto-update apps or Auto update apps over Wi-Fi only.

Wifi only was already selected. It downloaded a system update over data anyway.

Ask Sprint, it's their device. I believe forced updates can be a problem with US carrier version, locked and subsidized phones, and no way to stop it apparently. Apart from rooting, changing ROM etc.

LG G5

The LG G5 was launched April 1st, 2016. This was some of LG’s biggest innovation yet with the introduction of dual rear cameras, always-on display, and an interesting modular design concept. The modular design never caught on.
