Help how do you unbrick droid 2 using a mac?

i was trying to restore to one of my backups and it just bricked it.

Define "brick," can you not even get to recovery?

no i cant. it just stays at the motorola symbol

Have you tried getting into stock recovery? Turn the phone on while holding the x key. It should show a little triangle with a !, then hit the search key on the keyboard.

Yea I can get it to stock recovery

I've had the same issue, easy fix. Should work after a factory reset.

2. Open the keyboard and press the X key while pressing and holding Power. The device will power on. Keep holding the buttons down until a yellow triangle appers.

3. Press the Search key on the keyboard (magnifying glass).

4. Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the side of the phone to select the Wipe data factory reset option. Use the Camera key to confirm it.

5. Tap wipe data/factory reset then tap OK.

6. Highlight reboot system now is highlighted then tap OK.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! i had loaded a ROM improperly and my phone was stuck between ROM's. with out this forum i would have been mega screwed. my hats off to you good sirs

Hi i have a bricked droid2 global and I am returning it to verizon for a replacement. I want to remove all signs that I rooted the phone. Please help. Im on a mac. I can get it into recovery bootloader modes.
