The title kinda says it all. I know how to uninstall an app (press, hold and drag to garbage can), but, I can't figure out how to uninstall a widget. I can go the apps folder and try the press, hold and drag thing but the widget remains.

Do you really mean uninstall a widget, or just get it off yoru desktop?
I don't think that dragging to the trash can 'uninstalls' anything...unless you have a 3rd party app installed that does that.
Dragging down off screen/to trash can, I think, just takes it off the screen.
AS noted by the other response, to really uninstall and remove from the phone altogether (never to be used again unless you reinstall) you do use the Manage Applications he pointed you to.
Nope. Works for apps but not for widgets. I have a few widgets that appear in the bucket in several versions (Large, small, etc.) and I only want ONE of them, otherwise I need to scroll through the bucket to get to the one I really want.
