Acer iconia b1 tablet which I'm about to send back!
Hi and welcome to Android Forums!
If you have a widget or app icon on the homescreen you wish to remove, you can simply long-press it and move it to the top of the screen. It should disappear. This only takes the app from the homescreen: the app is still on the device. You can uninstall an app through Play --> My Apps or Settings --> Applications --> scroll to the app and select "uninstall". I hope this helps... don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
It's great to have you here
