How low does advertising go?

So, here's a little story. I was browsing domain names, looking to see whats taken etc. Well, I then log into my email account from a separate window, and in my inbox page, low and behold, the advertisement window at the top says the domain name I searched on register.com, and "don't let it get away?"

That just shows reading cookies/history is getting more and more integrated with our browsing experience and advertising. Soon you'll do a google search for places to eat, and in another website it'll say xxx has cheeseburgers on sale.

Google is a big part in that, they track every search and then aim the ads towards what you search.. I personally don't mind, but even the suppliers of our loving android are pretty harsh on privacy
