How many words can the Desire store?

    I just wanted to know how if anyone knows roughly how many words you can store in the Desire in messaging?

    In text messaging? What exactly do you want to do save?

    Yes in messaging. Just words that the Desire would not recognize normally.

    You mean when you type a word that isn't in its dictionary which you can then add to it?

    I don't actually know, unlimited? Each keyboard app uses its own dictionary, i really wouldn't think there would be a limit you could ever hit in reality.

    Yeah, the average word can't occupy more than a handful of bytes, I'd imagine.

    Can somone please verify how many text messages can be stored on the Desire? is there a limit? I remember the SE K750i has a limit of 200 messages which is very annoying..

    I doubt there'd be a limit. Even my Nokia E51 can have unlimited text messages (although it did become quite a bit speedier, when I deleted around 3000 texts.)

    I believe it says in the tech specs for the Desire that it can hold practically unlimited texts etc.

    Can this be confirmed by someone who owns a Desire. The Sms's are apparently stored in the phones internal memory and there have been reported issues with the limited space and ppl having to delete apps to save space, so i foresee having to constantly delete text messages to save space?

    Nope, the Hero could even handle thousands, theres no problem for this phone
