In text messaging? What exactly do you want to do save?

Yes in messaging. Just words that the Desire would not recognize normally.

You mean when you type a word that isn't in its dictionary which you can then add to it?

I don't actually know, unlimited? Each keyboard app uses its own dictionary, i really wouldn't think there would be a limit you could ever hit in reality.

Yeah, the average word can't occupy more than a handful of bytes, I'd imagine.

Can somone please verify how many text messages can be stored on the Desire? is there a limit? I remember the SE K750i has a limit of 200 messages which is very annoying..

I doubt there'd be a limit. Even my Nokia E51 can have unlimited text messages (although it did become quite a bit speedier, when I deleted around 3000 texts.)

I believe it says in the tech specs for the Desire that it can hold practically unlimited texts etc.

Can this be confirmed by someone who owns a Desire. The Sms's are apparently stored in the phones internal memory and there have been reported issues with the limited space and ppl having to delete apps to save space, so i foresee having to constantly delete text messages to save space?
