I bought my Thunderbolt this morning after waiting since 8am (well since CES) and I was third in line yet first to leave the store with a running phone. I bought the phone, Body Glove case, car charger, and screen protectors and it only came to $244.54 with tax. I checked my receipt and I was only charged 174.99 for the actual phone with my upgrade. I am just wondering if there's going to be some other charge popping up in my account or something because I was fully prepared to pay $249.99. Thoughts?

$174 though amazon a week ago.

maybe the store is trying to compete with online pricing now?

It seems to depend on whether you are an existing Verizon customer (I am) or if you are new. I attempted to purchase a TB with a new phone number from Amazon Wireless with their $129 pricing for the phone, and my order was cancelled because "...you have an existing or prior account with them

Here are some qualifications for the promotion:

    1. You cannot be an existing customer with Verizon
    2. If you were previously a customer, there is a waiting period of 30 days."

Talk about strict. They won't even let me buy a new phone with a new number for the $129 promotional price. *sigh*

My 2-yr. contract is up tomorrow, so I'm going to try again and should get the $175 upgrade price for the phone.

I had an early upgrade, so I had to pay the $20 activation fee (it's free online, but I couldn't use that feature of because of the shipping address), and missed out on the $30 equipment discount, so, all said and done, after tax, I paid $237.xx

$163 with taxes after it was all said and done from Verizon. I had a coupon in the mail for an early upgrade for the thunderbolt only, which I jumped on very quickly.

Sold my Droid X for $225. Bought Thunderbolt "rooted" on craigslist for $300. All said and done - only paid $75 out of pocket. #ftw
