Hi all, how much memory does the Samsung Note have for Apps, I'll be upgrading from a HTC Desire and that had a farcical amount of memory for apps, its driven me nuts since I got it so I just want to make sure I don't get into the same mess.

The reason I ask is because I was playing with one in carphonewarehouse and noticed it said 1.9GB on the right of the apps screen under the all tab, so my assumption was its got 2GB for apps and the rest is storage, am I right or have I got this totally messed up.

I don't get why they have to limit you with app space, just doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, 2GB is set aside for apps by default. If you decide to root you can allocate as much as you want toward apps.

I'm in exactly the same situation as the OP, looking to upgrade from the Desire to the Note. Very glad to hear that the Note has 2Gb to run apps as the miniscule amount of the Desire is driving me nuts too.
