How much wider is the X screen then the Droid?

The main thing I hate about my Droid is that the screen is way too narrow which makes typing on the screen hard and often make errors. Ithink the iPhone size is perfect.

Is the Droid X as wide as the iPhone? I know its longer for sure. If so how much?

Can't speak for the screen but the width of the X is almost exactly the same as my droid with the verizon hard case. I made a cardboard cutout of the deminsions of the X and laid my droid on top of it to see.
