Swype is pre-installed on the Optimus V. To activate it, do the following:
Droid 2, Droid X, Samsung Galaxy Tab, MyTouch4G (and Optimus V) ALL have Swype PreInstalled out-of-the-box! They may not, however, have Swype set as the DEFAULT input method. To check if Swype in installed, and to activate it if it is, all you need to do is long-press-and-hold on any box where you enter text (such as the message portion of a new email), select Input Method in the popup, and choose Swype from the list.
