I am a newby and using the Google NexusOne phone.

Can anyone tell me when typing a text message how to add a new paragraph. There does not seem to be key appropriate for this purpose.
    Thanks

try using handcent...I don't see a way on the stock messaging app either...but handcent allows the use of the enter key.

Txt messages are limited to 160-characters, so you're not going to be fitting any paragraphs in there in the first place.

Maybe they are composing a valentine's sonnet ;) sometimes you might want to force a new line. on my old phone that used to use two characters.

Many thanks for your response and suggestion.

Reviews of Handcent do not convey a possible trouble free download. I think I will stick with the bad grammer!!

Wow, I think you're the first person I've ever heard of other than me that gets worked up over grammar in text messages. In my experience, most folks seem to think making use of capitals and punctuation is way too much work.

I also strictly use grammar in text messages!

Also, get Handcent - you won't be disappointed!
