Root How to add host files to block a website

Hi Guys,

Can u give me step by step TUT to block websites from phishing the phone. Will be really helpful.
Im a complete noob and dont know anything about host files. The thing is Im using a chinese rom for my other phone and I need to block a website called 'Umeng.com' to ensure my privacy. Any help will be really appreciated.

Go to /data/data using root explorer.
Open the hosts file using text editor.
Write in end:
127.0.0.1 umeng.com


That should do it most probably.
