How to add POI/Your business in HTC Locations maps?

It's been driving my crazy! I've turned the web upside down for this one and still nothing. I even wrote to HTC and all they answered was:

"Thank you for contacting HTC

We are going to investigate in this issue and check and as soon as we get any information about this process we will contact you, as for now please check with google to add any location on google maps."

So to wrap up - is there a way to add poi or your business to the maps that HTC Locations is using? Like in Google Places where you register your local business and then it appears on the map. I've also contacted Route66, but they said its an issue I have to discuss with HTC. Do I have to contact TomTom for that? Is it really that difficult?

No, you're talking about Footprints. It's the lack of POI on the maps that bugs me. For example: Go to Locations, on the Nearby page - open the Eating & Drinking category and you'll see all the local businesses and POI. For example: McDonalds, which you can even see on the map by just looking at the right place on the map.

I'd like to know if there's a way to add my local business like that?

Yep, personal locations are tied to your HTC account (If you can get it working :-( )

I think the OP is looking for his business to be put 'On the map' as a permanent poi for everyone to see, as in google maps or a tomtom poi.

Really not sure how to do that, you would need to contact whoever supplies the maps - or another business that is a POI and find out how.

They could be listed in certain publications or a member an association, registered with the tourist board etc.
