The Galaxy Portal goes by different names. Galaxy Spica and Galaxy Lite. But you know that caws you posted in the Spica forum.

    Here's a quick tip.
To quickly come out of standby mode, press & HOLD the hold button, top right side of phone. If you do not use pattern lock, you will be taken straight to your home screen.

And talking of HOME screens, replace it with HelixLauncher. Faster and more docking options.

    (HelixLauncher 1 not HelixLauncher 2)

    HelixLauncher

Find and download it from Market Place.

    if so...

go to settings.. it is on the pull up tab.. bottom of the screen on mine.. (it has probaly got a proper name biy I don't know it)

I dragged it on to the desktop on mine to get quicker access to the functions...

anyway.. select the icon and when menu appears select Sounds and Display then when new menu appears go to the last item.. Screen Timeout.

hope this is what you mean't

    regards

I personally found LauncherPro to be better than Helix.
