Help How to change my phone number in settings

Hi. I got the Samsung Galaxy S2 on 3 network recently, I had my old number transferred, but Settings>About phone>Status>phone number shows the orginal number that came with the phone. I have seen a thread explaining how to change the number on a phone connected to the Vodafone network, anyone know how to change it on 3 network? Thanks.

You need to have a lend of a blackberry and put your Sim card in there.
In the blackberry under options, advanced there is a Sim option in which you can put on your phone number.
Then Put the Sim back in your gs2 and bob's your uncle, fanny's your aunt.

Well..funny enough my previous phone was indeed a Blackberry, followed your instructions and it worked a treat! Cheers.
