Help How to change Ringtone standard message to another song??

Hi there,

I juz bought dis LG Optimus 1 last week.

However i dont know, how to change default message notification ringtone to another song..

I dun want to use stock ringtone for my notification message..

Any ideas please on how to resolve this????

You'll have to download a ringtone app.

I use Zedge. Lots of good stuff on there. I use different ringtones for different callers, notification ringtone, email ringtone, etc. It has wallpapers too.

Another app you could use is RingDroid.

You can load your own song, and use RingDroid to cut the song down to a useable ringtone.

Um theres another simple way.

Just connect your phone to the computer and when your sd card pops up under the media folder, create a new folder called notifications. Put whatever song you want into that folder.

Then go into your sms settings and under notiications, your song should be in there.

I tried the just adding a directory option, but that does not seem to work.

if not rooted then the make directory option should work.
while,
if rooted, goto root directory (use File Manager, ES etc.)
in there paste ur desired tone to system/media>audio>notifications
