How to create goldcard without SD in phone?

Is it possible to create a gold card without having the SD in the phone?

Reason i ask, currently im running A2SD+ so when i insert a blank memory card, the phone does not boot pass the HTC screen as its needs the original SD where all the files are.

So is it possible?

i don't think you need the goldcard constantly inserted for the phone to boot? thought the goldcard was only necessary when flashing the original htc RUU on to the phone?

Yes it to flash RUU but its needed for my friend.

I am trying to make it for him.

Yes but the guide says the SD has to be in the phone, and i can insert another SD in my phone.
