How to downgrade from ICS to GB- I am newbie:(

Hello ,

I am aware the phone I have is a bit old but I would like to desperately ask for help. I am not very experienced with this stuff so I would like to ask for easy step-by-step guide from some very kind guru.

I have Sony Ericsson Xperia and unfortunately I upgraded to ICS when prompted by Sony Ericsson.

After upgrade my phone is very , very slow and it is very frustrating.

Also I am using Mac.
I spend hours on internet searching for step by step guide but everything is written for Windows.

I would be very thankful to somebody for help and guidance.

When you upgraded, did you clear out the caches or factory reset?

Can't you use a Windows Emulator?

I tried VirtualBox but when I plugged in usb cable to my computer I couldn't see the icon on desktop. I simply couldnt proceed to next step.

To be honest I don't know.
Once when I plugged in my USB cable I was prompted by "Bridge for Mac" to update to new operating system. I did and since then my phone is slow.

When searching the web for solution I found some guide, downloaded flashtool and gingerbread , followed instructions but when I was prompted to press "back" key and plug usb in nothing was happening. Somewhere I read that i need also download drivers but I really dont know where to find it.
Thats why I try to post my question here.
