How to fix laggy swiping

this happens on every app, not just on the home screen.

is there a software fix or do i have to send it to a hardware store?

I don't think so.
How many apps do you keep open? @inexplicabro? For me just my book reader. Opens everytime I use my fingerprint to open but I close the other 4 apps before I turn off.

Try this. Go into your phone's 'Developer Options' menu and there are three settings referring to animations. Set each one to 'Animations off' and see if things appear more normal again. See below for more specific details (item #4):

The default I believe is 1x, that vid you posted looks like its currently on 5x.

All of the settings are at 1x, I tried turning them off and on again, but the animations are still laggy.

I keep clear my ram all the time so there's usually only a couple of apps open at a time.
