How To Fix Motorola Triumph Screen

This written take apart guide will assist you on how to fully disassemble your Motorola Triumph fairly easily. This will show you through all the steps in replacing the touchscreen digitizer as well as the LCD display screen.

This guide will help you to install the following Motorola Triumph part(s):
  • Motorola Triumph Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement
  • Motorola Triumph LCD Screen Replacement

Tools Required:
  • Safe Open Pry Tool
  • T5 Torx Screwdriver
  • Adhesive Strips (For touch screen repairs)
  • Hot Air Gun / Hair Dryer

Motorola Triumph take apart guide:
  • First step is to remove the back battery cover, the battery, and the sim card.
  • Now, remove the two (2) screws using T5 Torx Screwdriver.
  • Next, gently pry along all the edges to remove the back housing cover of the phone using safe pry tool. Once the motherboard is exposed, start removing the remaining five (5) T5 Screws.

  • Separate the top camera bezel after removing the screws.
  • Next, release the two (2) jaw connector and remove the flex cable using safe pry tool.
  • Then, carefully lift the motherboard. Be careful of the remaining one pop connector underneath as it is still connected near the top. Use safe pry tool to release the connector. The motherboard can now be separated.

  • Next step is to release the heat adhesive and tape that is holding the touch screen flex cable to the front housing.
  • Next, heat the front assembly for about 30-45 seconds using hair dryer or heat gun.
  • After heating the front assembly, gently slide along the outside edges of the digitizer to release the held adhesive that is holding the screen using safe pry tool. Be cautious not to dig to far to avoid damaging the LCD screen.
  • Use safe pry tool and run along the edges to release the clips. This will allow you to remove the LCD screen from the front housing assembly. The front housing is now completely removed.

  • Now heat the lower back part of the LCD screen flex cable. After heating, gently pry off the LCD screen but be cautious as it is still attach from the flex cable to the back housing. Then gently flip the LCD down, and begin releasing the LCD flex cable from the housing.

You can now change the damage part of your Motorola Triumph.
Reverse the instructions above to reassemble your phone.
