Do I have to format my SD card before I use it in my incredible? I just want to add music to the card then be able to make ringtones. I also want all my photos to go to the card.

I guess what I am asking is when I add things to the card will it make its own folders like music folder, ringtone folder and photo folder or do I need to manually add these folders to the card?

    Thanks!

If the card has never been formatted before (unlikely), then yes, you will have to format it. However, the simplest thing to do is to try and copy your music to it. If it copies, you are golden. If it needs to be formatted, you will get an error message to that effect when you try to copy.

You will need to create the folder structure you would like to use.

Tip: If you want the music application to ignore your ring tone folder, put a file in the ringtone folder called ".nomedia" and you won't get your ringtones sprinkled in with your music.
