    Hi all,
I am trying to get my phone to install and run apps from the sd card.
I have tried everything i have read on the internet but some pages say to put phone into recovery mode then use the phones text console to partition sd card.
Does anyone know how to get the lg optimus gt540 into recovery mode?
Many thanks in advance for any help :)

I am pretty sure you wont be able to install apps on the sd unless you upgrade to 2.2 which is not coming anytime soon at least from LG. It might even never be available as an official upgrade for the GT 540 so tough luck... Too bad because the on board memory is pretty limited , i had to uninstall apps several times in order to install new ones

That is safe mode, not recovery mode like you said. Safe mode only disables the ability to load 3rd party apps.
