If I use a standard app tray, anyting I download from the market gets put in it right away. But I have been trying all kinds of things lately that wont. The only way I can get them loaded is to turn off the phone and turn it back on again. Home++ is one of those. I have also tried some other roms that does the same thing. Any suggestions?

For Home++ you need to set it as your default home application. You can do this by going to Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage Applications then find Home++ and hit clear defaults, when you hit the Home button again it should ask you which one you want to use so select Home++ and if you want it to be default then check off the box.
