You will need to have a rooted phone first ...

Then you can use an easy app from the market to do the rest ...

    That app is named AppsToSD

there is always the potential that you could brick your phone.

I've been getting conflicting information from the web. Can AppstoSD be used on a HTC branded Magic? Or is it for Dream only?

I am on a HTC branded Magic, rooted using daldroid's ROM.

Thanks but I have already rooted my phone using daldroid's ROM. Now I am asking whether the app APPSTOSD will work with HTC branded Magics?

The procedure should be the same if the rooted build that you are using allows or is set up to do so... being rooted you now have the option to load other builds that can run apps to sd... You might want to try something like this one [ROM] Soulife's Roger Remix V2.8.2 [July/17/2009] - xda-developers
