I backed up my Adobe Flash Player APK using My Backup Pro

Now when Jelly Bean is released next week, how do I go about installing it?

Furthermore, my girlfriend is going to purchase a new S3 (she's switching from a BlackBerry)

How do I install Adobe Flash for her using that same apk file?

    thanks

    1. Download the Forums for Android™ app!

My backup pro stores the .apk in a folder on your SD card. Navigate to the folder (/sd/reware/all backups/**date** I believe) and tap on the .apk. Choose package installer and it's done!

You can also copy/paste the .apk if you've mounted it to your computer. Very simple to do.

it depends on the phone, but the apk is the package, and the package installer is the function of the phone which installs it. Some phones don't ask and just identify the apk file as installable and just installs it when you tap it.

right, so from what I understand, after installing Jelly Bean in the future, all I have to do is go to my SD Card, then go to the backup folder of Adobe Flash Player which I have previously stored and tap the *.apk file?

I hope this is as simple as it sounds because i've read some other guys online that require you to download stuff to your PC and reinvent the wheel to install an application

Again as I said, it depends on the phone. Other brands need to download file manager apps to install apks. Samsung phones have always been able to do this by default through the My Files app. Unless you install a custom Jelly Bean ROM, you just need to head over to My Files, to your SD card and tap the apk file.

I copied the apk file to my mom's SD card on her S3 and I tapped it once, it installed in a breeze!
