How to install an application "zip file" from 'sd card' to phone
If it's an apk, you should be able to rename it to .apk and run it to install it. An .apk file is just a .zip file with a different extension.
If not, it depends on what's in the .zip file.
If you got the apk as a rar file you need to extract the apk from it. The only apk that you can flash would be super su if you was rooted .
If it's a .zip file, it's not an .rar file. That would be like Tom's name being Bill.
Only if tom said his name was bill but looked at his birth certificate and seen that it was tom. Just as in the zip . op see a zip file say and thing zip but it turns out to be a rar
